ALL ABOUT ORIENTAL OASIS
At Oriental Oasis, we understand that identity is a complex issue, particularly for those who have grown up in a different culture from the people around them. We aim to provide a safe space for British-born Chinese to explore and celebrate their unique identity and connect with others who share similar experiences.

Through art workshops, free lectures and festivals, we provide opportunities for individuals to express themselves, relieve anxiety and worry about identity issues, and share their views on British-born Chinese identity. We believe that art is a powerful tool for self-expression and personal growth, and we are dedicated to using it to support our members on their journey of self-discovery.

We fully acknowledge the environmental impact of our business and are constantly innovating and learning to better understand how we operate in order to reduce this impact.
At Oriental Oasis, we care about protecting the world we and our customers inhabit and making our business as sustainable as possible is one of our biggest priorities.
Commitment to the Environment

Waste recycling disposal
We have paper and cardboard balers in our warehouse to ensure that both materials are recycled efficiently.
In our staff offices, we use a central black bin and 3 forms of recycling bins. This ensures that waste is separated and facilitates proper waste disposal at a later stage.
Reducing our reliance on plastic
One of our biggest challenges is to reduce our reliance on materials such as plastic decorations and plastic bags. We used recycled paper–an FSC certified environmentally friendly alternative to plastic in all of the packaging.
For our festive events, we have also eliminated the use of disposable plastic cups, instead providing reusable cups for each consumer.
5% of income donation
We will donate 5% of the profits we receive to elderly Chinese each year, which also allows our customers to actiely participate and feel that they have played a part in the final donation.

Continuing to work with our employees to ensure that Oasis is a great place to work! We are committed to helping our employees develop their careers, gain new skills, meet new people, create a good work and life balance and have fun while they're at it!
